Canine Wellness Care in Chapel Hill, TN

Dogs age much faster than humans, so it is important to play a proactive role in your dogs health.  No matter your dog’s size, breed or age, all dogs will benefit from an annual, or biannual, wellness exam. Having your dog examined by us is the best way to keep your dog as healthy as possible and to assure a longer life and the highest quality of life for your companion.  A regular wellness exam may also save you money in the long term as your dog ages by catching diseases early, when treatment is most effective.

The Value of Annual Exams

At Veterinary Services, our veterinarians recommend annual exams for puppies and adult dogs, and biannual exams for senior dogs. During the wellness exam we will review your dog’s medical history, record their weight, check their vital signs, perform a visual dental exam and a thorough physical examination. We will administer any vaccinations that your dog needs, and will discuss with you any questions or concerns you may have about your dog’s health.

We believe in creating individualized wellness care plans that specifically address your dog’s needs. Our veterinarians will review your dog’s lifestyle based on their activities and factors such as age, breed, and medical history to create a personalized wellness and vaccination plan for your pet.

Preparing for Your Pet’s Exam

On the day of your dog’s wellness appointment, we ask that you bring a stool sample (less than 12 hours old) and your puppy or dog on a leash. We also recommend that you bring any medical records you may have, such as previous vaccination records, if this is your dog’s first visit with us.
